Packaging

Suspend 52 grams of the medium in one liter of distilled water. Mix well and dissolve by heating with frequent agitation. Boil for one minute until complete dissolution. Sterilize at 121 for 15 minutes. To prepare a selective medium for fungi, the sterilized and melted medium should be cooled to 45 – 50°C before adding the appropriate antibiotics. Occasionally a small amount of sediment may appear which should be resuspended with a gentle swirl before dispensing.
